Jeet Kune Do was originally taught through private lessons. In fact, Bruce Lee closed all his schools to focus on private training and small group lessons. JKD is best learned this way due to the emphasis on personal expression and individual application. It is not a cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all martial art, but rather a continuous process of adaptation and individual skill development.
