Rank Testing

This is where you test for all ranks in JKD. You will be expected to not only be able to perform the movements in SPARRING, but also  EXPLAIN in detail from bottom-up (feet to head) what you're doing. 

Below are the corresponding curriculum lessons for each level or rank:

1st Rank (Level 1) - Proficiency in the understanding and application of the Level 1 curriculum.

Senior 1st (Level 2) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 2 curriculum in light sparring.

Senior 1st Trainer (Level 3) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 3 curriculum in light sparring. Successful completion of the self-study program I.

2nd Rank (Level 4) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 4 curriculum.

Senior 2nd (Level 5) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 5 curriculum in light sparring. Successful completion of the self-study program II.

Senior 2nd Trainer (Level 6) - Proficiency in the above as well as and understanding of and ability to apply the Level 6 curriculum in light sparring.

3rd Rank (Level 7) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 7 curriculum.

Instructor Apprentice (Level 7) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 7 curriculum. Successful completion of the self-study program III and IV.

Senior 3rd (Level 8) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 8 curriculum.

Instructor (Level 8) - Proficiency in the above as well as an understanding of and ability to apply the Level 8 curriculum in light sparring. Your student(s) proficiency in the understanding and application of the Level 1 curriculum.
